Old Man Logan (2016) #1

Feb 4, 2016

The art is perfect for this comic in my opinion. The darkness and grittiness of it really lends itself to the dark path Logan is heading down. The story is great and I can't wait to pick up the next one. Just be careful after reading this book, it may cause you to go right out and buy Mark Millar's Old Man Logan trade paperback if you don't already have it"as it did to me.

Spider-Man (2016) #1

Feb 5, 2016

Overall I liked this first issue. It immediately established what this comic book is and where it will be going. It introduced us to Miles and what kind of problems he is dealing with, and It even set up a face off with a familiar neighborhood spider I can't wait to see. I give this issue a solid 4 out of 5. I think Blackheart was bested a little too easily for someone just starting out his super-hero career. I'm also a little confused as to whether or not Blackheart is going to be showing up again in this first arc. If this was just a one issue and done appearance I'd be a little disappointed.

Ultimates (2015) #4

Feb 15, 2016

I'm so happy with this book and what it has been able to accomplish in only four issues. "Fixing" Galactus in only two issues after he's defeated teams like the Fantastic Four and Avengers time and time again is eye opening. What else can this team do? What else will they do? I can't wait to find out.

Extraordinary X-Men #7

Feb 18, 2016

Overall, I give this series so far a 3 out of 5. Its a little better than average but could definitely be better with more time and substance. I know Jeff Lemire is a great storyteller, so Im still hopeful he will deliver a great X-Men run. Hopefully now that the team is assembled, we will get more focus on solid stories and character development. This book started out as my favorite X-Men title post Secret Wars, and has since been surpassed by Uncanny X-Men. I sincerely hope it can come back to rival Uncanny as my favorite.
