A Man Among Ye #1

Jun 16, 2020

She is basing this story loosely on the real legendary pirate lives of Anne Bonny and Captain Rackham. Since the historic record of these pirates are pretty scarce, she gets the chance to play around with their history any way she chooses. I love her version of how things might have played out back in the early 1700's with these pirates. Craig Cermak brings his unique art and Brittany Pezzillo captures the pirates magnificently with her colors.

Adventureman (2020) #1

Jun 8, 2020

Matt Fraction has a winning adventure unfolding with this story arc. When you read a giant-sized comic book that seems to end as quickly as a 22-page comic, you know it's a great read.

Adventureman (2020) #2

Jul 6, 2020

This series is off to an unbelievable start! This concept by Fraction has been bouncing around in his mind since 2008. I am so excited that Adventureman has been unleashed on the world for all to read. And possibly Adventurewoman? It's going to be fun finding out!

If these are the kinds of books, writers, and artists that AWA has lined up for their other series, this company is here to stay!

Archangel 8 #2

While it's virtually impossible to bypass Marvel and DC in sales, the writing that AWA is putting out is better than anything the big two are doing right now.

Year Zero #1

Jun 8, 2020

Benjamin Percy has set the stage with his story, while Kaare Andrews lures you into wanting to buy this issue with his cover. Ramon Rosanas tells a descriptive story with his art and Lee Loughridge has the colors popping to produce a book that is worth checking out just to see what the zombies will actually look like next issue (hopefully). Glad to see you back again, AWA.

Year Zero #2

Jun 19, 2020

Benjamin Percy is intentionally not revealing too many details too fast, and that's okay. I like the mystery and intrigue, as long as it's justified down the road. Kaare Andrews has created another interesting cover. Ramon Rosanas continues to draw a descriptive story worthy of the theme and Lee Loughridge brings the haunting colors that fit the mood perfectly. Glad to see you back again, AWA.

Year Zero #3

Benjamin Percy is intentionally not revealing too many details too fast, and that's okay. I like the mystery and intrigue, as long as it's justified down the road (don't let me down!). Kaare Andrews has created an absolutely realistic looking and beautiful (along with haunting) cover. Ramon Rosanas continues to draw, and Lee Loughridge continues to color panels that makes a tragic story vivid and memorable. I can't wait for issue #4.
