Mass Effect: Foundation #4 |
Nov 21, 2013 |
I feel like we're still a few issues out from seeing what Rasa, the Illusive Man, and all of these characters will have in common with each other before the end of this story. We know where this is going – the events of the games are pretty clear at this point. But how we get there is the really exciting part of this love letter to Mass Effect fans, and if this series is anything like the games, this series will not disappoint. |

While it still remains unclear where the story will go and who we will see next, it is exciting to return to the world of Mass Effect in full and to see what was happening before and during the events of the games from different angles. With the writers of the first and second game at the helm, there's no telling what they'll do in the remaining 10 issues, but it will be something that every fan of the series will want to make sure and pick up each week it comes out. |

Mass Effect: Foundation #2 |
Sep 16, 2013 |
As I said earlier, this story feels like equal parts "let's give the fans more" and "let's write more stories that explore things we didn't get a chance to in the games". At its core this is a series for the fans by the writers of the second and third games. While newcomers to the Mass Effect series may find this an interesting point of entrance into the franchise, the allure of the story or the impact of the names of the characters will be somewhat lost. |

Mass Effect: Foundation #1 |
Jul 25, 2013 |
A first issue that fans of the series will enjoy and get excited about while giving new comers to the series a character driven sci-fi story that promises to be interesting and full of turns makes Mass Effect: Foundation #1 a high pick for comics coming out this week, and is a series that should be near the top of anyone's list. |
