To sum up, Kriss: The Gift Of Wrath isn't the type of comic that I would purchase standardly, but in the case of those looking for a mythic affair of blood and carnage, give this one a look. There is a great core and it is worth a buy for any Nordic history buff or for those who just like a world with a bit of dourness to it.

I am firmly in the target audience for this comic. As a kid in the 1990s, I would partake in all monster content I could and often wondered how I would fare with Godzilla by my side. Thankfully, in 2019, I can now live vicariously through Kid Kaiju.

This does a lot in a very short space of time to entrance a casual reader. There is an argument for including more action in an initial issue. However, in this case, it is a nice incentive to move forward to the next. Planet Caravan #1 gets a big recommendation from me. Hopefully, it will gain further ground as the story progresses, and maintain the slow jazz-like rhythm that it proudly displays in each panel.
