If #7 was a reset, #8 was a full-tilt reminder of the cost of willful ignorance and complacency. With more questions raised and few answers given, Absolute Martian Manhunter continues to be the most compelling and complex book of the Absolute line.

If you’ve hesitated to pick up Absolute Green Lantern, or you’ve fallen a bit behind (no shame!), I cannot encourage everyone enough to read it. Setting up a few red herrings, the detective in the form of Patsy Walker and Simon in the role of unlucky man at the center of it all. There’s enough intrigue in Simon’s dynamic with his brother, but more time to show why one would want Simon and Patsy to work out would be nice, instead of the paint-by-numbers genre the pair currently feel like.
