Green Arrow (2016) #32

This issue was great. It picks up right after the Suicide Squad tie-in. The art is fantastic and we see some images of the Batman who laughs that no one should ever see. Overall the only complaint I can find with this story arc is how Oliver's hair grows when he puts on the medieval outfit. |

Green Arrow (2016) #33
Oct 18, 2017 |
This issue is a a slow down after the gotham resistance tie in. It's a fantastic narrative that shows the reader that Oliver Queen isn't some punk kid. He has people who rely on him and he has his support structure. I'm very curious how the trial will go! The art is fantastic and the story is solid! |

The issue was a bit scattered. Overall there were a few to many stories. The art is just as gorgeous as ever. I highly recommend this series, even with this arc being a little convoluted. The rest of the series more than makes up for it. |

Logan #1
Mar 5, 2008 |
After seeing that Logan was a three issue miniseries, one of my first thoughts was that it would read much better once it got collected. I am happy to report that Brian K. Vaughan's trademark cliffhangers are in full effect here, so the monthly reader won't feel like they got an original graphic novel-sized story that was simply chopped into three pieces so it could get sold an extra time, so while it may read better all in one sitting, it isn't like the monthly reader is getting short changed. |

Christos Gage does a fine job conveying the moral quandary of Colin against the backdrop of his investigation and search for The Eternal Warrior. It would be easy to lose sight of the complexity of his predicament amidst the action and he manages to elevate the story beyond the point of simple detective work mingled with vicious combat. |

Teen Titans (2016) #12
Sep 13, 2017 |
This is the first tie in for the Metal event. We get our first in depth look at one of the evil batmen. The Bat that Laughs and his evil blood thirsty robins. I will say the art and story are top notch and if this is how the other tie ins stay, I can not wait. Seeing a team up of Robin, Green Arrow, Harley Quinn, and Killer Croc was interesting, but worked really well. |

This issue costs $5 and the reason is that there are two backup stories from when Rick Remender previously wrote for Wolverine and Deadpool. The Wolverine story demonstrates that Rick Remender has actually been exploring the idea of Wolverine's duality and appeal for a while. After all, a character like Wolverine almost needs to be a killer in order not to be too much muscle or needs to have enemies that can regrow themselves like Sabertooth. The backup story shows that Wolverine is one of the most realistic characters in the way he reacts to situations if written well. The Deadpool story is dumb, but it's true to Deadpool so take that as you will. |
