Another great installment in the series. If this keeps up we will have a very good addition to the Green Lantern universe. |

Green Lantern: New Guardians #4
Jan 10, 2012 |
Continuing the fight around the universe, Green Lantern New Guardians is a book I keep coming back to. The creative team keeps giving us a great team book where everyone on the team pretty much hates each other. Ok, well Saint Walker doesnt hate anybody, but Bleez has enough hate to make up for that. |

Green Lantern: New Guardians #5

The creative team on this book is consistant, and although the story itself is a little decompressed and slow to develop, with so many characters and so much potential I'm perfectly content to let this story be told slowly. |

Green Lantern: New Guardians #6
Feb 23, 2012 |
This books lack of clarity and jumbled art made it a stumbling block in what has been a very enjoyable first arc. Readers may walk away from this book somewhat displeased, but I hold out hope that issue 7 will tie it all together with a nice multicolored bow on top. If nothing else, at least Bleez will be back. |

Gail Simone starts out like gang busters in this opening issue of Batgirl, a solid whimsical script, great pencils and beautiful colors make Batgirl a must read for Barbara Gordon fans and Bat family fans alike. |

Batgirl (2011) #2
Jan 18, 2012 |
This cover matches so well with the story inside. Readers see a vulnerability to Batgirl, a trait true to the character, and a great first glimpse at the villain Mirror. Although the colors are somewhat muted, they work for the rainy scene Hughes is trying to create. The only qualm I have is a small one, I wish the cover matched the inside art just a tad more. I like Hughes difference in style but it feels somewhat opposing to the art work within the book itself, almost a touch misleading. Aside from that small hiccup, Hughes continues to deliver a solid cover. |

Batgirl (2011) #3
Jan 18, 2012 |
Of the three covers thus far I think this is the least successful. I'm not a fan of flat black on characters, I think human beings need shading and changes in value to better define their action. This cover doesn't work because Batgirl looks like an overweight middle aged woman as opposed to the 20 something sleek super hero she is. Without definition form runs together and the figure of a person is lost. Although Huges has a particular style, it's one I am growing tired of. I've looked ahead at covers that will be coming in future months and I am excited for the possibilities. |

I love this book, the whole thing (minus the covers thus far) works for me, the story is solid, the art is intriguing and right now Batgirl is a top 3 pick in my pull. |

Another solid edition by Simone and her creative team, I dropped a book from my pull two months ago to make room for this one, and after issue #5 I can honestly say I am glad I did! |

With one more short story arc before "Night of Owls" the creative team for Batgirl is creating a character and story with true depth and enjoyability, yeah that's right, enjoyability. |

Amazing Spider-Man (1999) #680

Amazing Spider-man #680 is exactly what this book needed to be. Two of the most sarcastic hero's in the marvel-verse, solid art, and a quick two issue arc, make this book a must read for any Spider-fan. |

Amazing Spider-Man (1999) #681
Mar 8, 2012 |
Amazing Spider-man 681 is a first-class ending to this 2 issue arc. With all-star art work, a humorous duo and physics defying cover, this issue of Spider-Man is a great lead into Spidey's impending doom. |
