Tank Girl: Gold #1

Sep 28, 2016

Tank Girl is just an action hero that swears a lot, which is a pity as there's much which can be done with the character, and Tank Girl Gold #1 is a tad disappointing as it simply retreads what's come before without adding anything new.

Animosity: The Rise #1

Jan 25, 2017

Overall if you want an apocalyptic tale with no zombies and an attempt at doing something slightly different I'd recommend this as something head and shoulders above the mass of those type of comics out in the market right now. It's also worth checking out if you're a fan of stories where nature runs amok against humankind, and who doesn't enjoy a bit of that? As a race we deserve it.

Redline is off to a promising start, tip-toeing a fine line between satire and parody. However, only time will tell if it has the bite to really make a statement.

Doctor Who: The Third Doctor #1

Sep 13, 2016

The Third Doctor isn't going to regenerate the medium of comics, but this is a wonderfully warm - not to mention shamelessly nostalgic comic which will gladden the heart of old and new Doctor Who fans. It manages to capture the essence of what makes Doctor Who tick, and it's one of the few to manage it this successfully.

Hook Jaw #2

Jan 18, 2017

Overall, this is building up to be a surprisingly fun, and even more intellectually challenging work than just watching people being eaten, though that too is something to look forward to for gore fans.

Hook Jaw #3

Feb 15, 2017

I highly recommend picking this up for some biting satire and good old fashioned violence. It might not be exactly like the Hook Jaw we once knew, but it's certainly a welcomed version for 2017.
