Are you read the first series? The main protagonist in The Rise is Jesse's brother Adam. The same brother that Jesse and her pals are travelling to California to find.....Maybe before giving a negative review know what you are talking about.
"The Animals thought, spoke, and took revenge. The dust has settled and the blood dried, but a new force is rising in the West, ready to help Animal-kind seize power in the dark new world to come..." Spinning out from Marguerite Bennett's hit new series Animosity is this special one-shot, illustrated by American Monster's very own Juan Doe! Witness the devastating effects of "The Wake" and how it affected other parts of the world on that terrifying day!

A shocking story that will have readers being extra nice to every animal they meet. Excellent, creepy story with visuals that will make you jump. Recommended, if you can handle it. Read Full Review

There's still some great one-liners here, like a seagull shouting about getting thumbs, but newcomers should read the main series first. Read Full Review
Great addition to the main story.I can not wait for all of these characters to interact later in the series!
One day later, really? This didn't add anything new to the series, I don't know why they thought it a necessary story to tell, maybe we run into these characters later in the main story.
