Whether you're a Hawkeye veteran or an amateur bowman, All-New Hawkeye #2 is a book full of fantastic writing and varied art that everyone will enjoy.

A fun story with some fantastic final moments, Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1 seems to be an anomaly in the Secret Wars canon. If you're looking to worship Doom and obey the Thor Corps, you're looking in the wrong place. But, if you're a Spider-fan who loves a little character development, pick up this book…you won't regret it.

Angela, Queen of Hel #1 is a decent book that provides readers with interesting designs and gorgeous artwork. Unfortunately for brand new readers " which may be most of us " it tends to be a little overwhelming.

If you appreciate good horror stories and gorgeous artwork, there's no excuse as to why you haven't bought this already. Go. Now.

If you find yourself wanting to introduce a younger reader to comic books, you can do no better than with Bat-Mite #1. Unfortunately, because of that, older readers might find it to be a little much.

If you're anything like me and stayed away from Barbara's latest adventures due to change, use Batgirl #49 to jump back into the fray. It's well written enough that you won't be too lost and the interesting, multi-artist visuals will not disappoint.

Black Canary #1 is now officially my go-to comic for that monthly shot of adrenaline. If you're looking for a read that's a little more dangerous, pick this one up.

Black Jack Ketchum #1 refuses to use a template. It combines elements of science fiction, fantasy and just a smidge of horror to deliver a strange but never overwhelming first issue.

Despite taking a little too much time in laying the groundwork for the story, Black Magick #3 is a legitimately creepy series with tons of promise in future releases.

If you're an older reader familiar with the events of The Valiant,you might find the first few pages dull " but not the rest of it.

If you haven't already, Bloodshot Reborn is a series you should either be picking up or catching up on. Seriously.

Clean Room #1 is exactly what the doctor ordered if you're looking for a mysterious thriller with horror elements. You'll either want Chloe to continue researching or stop immediately, with the opinion changing every few pages.

With Code Pru #1, Garth Ennis and Raulo Caceres all at once poke fun at the horror genre with silly jokes while respecting traditions with EC-inspired artwork. If any of this review piqued your interest, absolutely check this issue out, because I think this is going to be one of the most interesting and assumption-breaking horror books of the new year.

In the end, Batman and Robin #2 tied up one of the better stories I've read in the Convergence event, but all too soon. I would've been happy with at least one more issue to round things out.

Dark Corridor #2 has unique style both in writing and art, setting it apart from the other releases this week. If you're scouring the shelves in search of something different, look no further than this series. You might need to shower afterwards, though.

Although the entire issue was introduction, Tyson Hesse's Diesel #1 delivers engaging characters and enough mystery to bring you back for more. That, combined with it's fantastic artwork and adventurous spirit, makes for an entertaining read for both young and old. In other words, like I said, it's fun.

Doctor Strange #1 is a somewhat lighter approach to the character, but with a sinister undertone. Unfortunately, it's not a tone that piques my interest, but the fact that Aaron and Bachalo made me stick around and want more is proof that when it comes to what they do, they do it well.

Even though the artwork was great, the story itself just wasn't up my alley. But that's just my personal opinion. If any of what I've described above piques your interest, give it a shot.

E is for Extinction #4 is a great read if you enjoy your superheroes a little darker and delirious. Clones, possession, keeping a brain alive " this series has it all, but this specific issue is not a jumping on point. If this review piqued your interest, I highly recommend you go back and re-read from the beginning.

Faith #1 introduces one of the most realistic characters we've seen in comics for a while. This title has loads of promise and is no doubt set up to have an incredible die-hard following.

Although Figment 2 #1 is a book meant for kids, there's enough there in the writing and artwork for older readers to appreciate. Even though I mentioned the tie-ins dampened my experience, the story and the sense of fun was enough to pique my interest and keep me coming back for more.

Godzilla in Hell #1 was absolutely one of the best books of the week and if I'm not tongue-tied after reading the second one, you can bet I'll be reviewing it for the site.

Godzilla in Hell #2 is much heavier than last month, with Godzilla's story being told with the weight of a legend. If you're not reading this book, you're missing out on one of the most creative and gorgeous series out there.

Howard the Duck #4 is a treat for all readers, but even more so to Doctor Strange fans or those who prefer funnier titles.

While not officially a What If? book, Howard the Human #1 rides the same route as the rest of the Secret Wars titles by presenting readers with a wacky, one-off story. Sure, it may not amount to a series or a spin-off in the long run, but we should just enjoy it while it's here and bask in it's infinite fun-ness.

If you're aching for some light-hearted action/adventure, you wouldn't be in the wrong to pick up Interceptor #2. It'll suck you right into it's world and invest you with it's characters, all while leaving hope that there's plenty more to come for next month.

While Invincible Iron Man #6 " and the entire previous arc " transformed me into a Shellhead, I'm just not the biggest fan of this run's particular style or writing. I'll be keeping a finger on this one's pulse to stay in the know, but I'll most likely delve into Stark's back catalogue to get my fix.

King Tiger #1 is a giant tease. It feeds you the boring basics, but dangles a carrot just out of reach. It's a clever way to hook new readers and I'm not sure whether I love them or hate them for it.

King Tiger #2 has a great premise but suffers from bad execution. Instead of exciting battles and visual storytelling, we instead get giant exposition dumps between characters who're tough to care about. And honestly, this makes me sad. The fact that this series isn't living up to its full potential makes me feel like crushed parent " I'm not mad"just disappointed.

Apart from one scene that left me wanting more – which isn't necessarily a bad thing – Lady Killer #4 was a solid story with beautiful artwork. Not only did it set all the pieces in motion for the final issue, it gave us a glimpse into how Josie's a completely different person around her daughters, even when “business” is being conducted.

Overall, I felt like I learned nothing new about the character. WhileMad Max: Fury Road " Furiosa had the great idea of using different artists for gorgeous artwork, the story didn't do it justice.

But, until then, I guess I'll be busy jonesin' for that Fury Road hit.

While a lot of the DC You titles have been hit or miss, you have to commend them on taking risks. There's some unique stories out there right now, Martian Manhunter #3 included. It seems that my personal favourites have been ones with drastic character redesigns, so here's hoping that DC keep that trend up if they decide to release anything new on the DC You line.

Midnighter #2 is perfect for someone looking to hop onto a new (to them) character. He's crazy, risky and dangerous – basicallyeverything you want from a good anti-hero.

Paper Girls #1 is a fantastic young kids' adventure story for the Halloween season. With great art and solid storytelling, it'll provide to the perfect throwback to it's influences: the movies you grew up with.

If you're already digging Planet Hulk, this issue'll will sweeten the deal by thickening the plot. If you're not, jump on and prepare for some smiling-inducing adventure and dreams of pet dinosaurs.

Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death #1 is a strong debut with amazing artwork, but will primarily appeal to diehard fans or people who are legitimately interested in entering Ivy's world. Personally, I don't think this'll be a title that'll grow on me.

Overall, the artwork stands out more than anything, with the writing feeling a little compact due to narration. It was a solid story, but it's not necessarily on the top of my pull list for next month.

While Red Sonja-Conan #1 brings nothing new to the table, what it delivers is blood-thirsty action and unique artwork. It's the perfect barbaric blast of fantasy you need this month.

Red Thorn #1 is perfect for those who're in the mood for a dark fantasy story (a la Sandman or Fables) with tons of potential and a heaping helping of personality. It's a bold statement, but Red Thorn #1 just may be my favourite book Vertigo has released in the past few months of it's new title onslaught.

Much like a literal trip, Saga #27 leaves you at the end both satisfied but wanting more. Unfortunately – again, like after most trips – I'm all out of money and need to recoup a bit before the next one.

If you wish the Fellowship would crack a joke every once and a while, you'll love this book.

Actually, everything I've come to expect and love from Skullkickers may be the reason why this issue sits a little lower on the ratings scale. It hits all of the bullet points of a solid Skullkickers book, but doesn't necessarily bring anything new to the table.

Writer Jim Zub has never shied away from self-awareness or comicdeconstruction over the years, but this issue takes the cake. Afterbreaking the fourth wall right off the bat, readers watch as the issueessentially falls apart " in a good way " as the layers are strippedback with each page.

It's the perfect fix while waiting for Episode Seven. Unfortunately, like with most fixes, now I'm addicted…and I need itnow.

Superman #41 is a nice change of pace from your typical Superman story, providing readers with more Clark time than ever and introducing tons of questions with no answers.

Superman: American Alien #4 is the perfect issue for those who just don't "get" Superman. Between the well-defined characters and explanations for Superman's M.O., there's plenty here for both rookies and veterans alike.

If you're a long-time fan of these Dynamite characters, you'll find Swords of Sorrow #2 an action packed, hot-blooded romp through multiple dimensions. If not, you'll at least find some clever writing and fantastic artwork.

Any fan of 1960's-70s era horror films are doing themselves a disservice by not picking this book up.

If for some reason you're still sleeping on this title because of Sabrina skepticism, don't. It's one of the best horror comics out there right now.

With The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #4 Aguirre-Sacasa and Hack deliver a story that's a little more psychological and character-driven. All the pieces are in place for an exciting climax, so I'm confident they'll flip the script and resurrect the next issue with new stuff for me to comment on.

If you're looking for a creative sci-fi/horror comic that leaves you with the perfect amount of questions and tons of room to grow,TheDisciples #1 is the answer. It's a textbook example of a great first issue.

And now, I'm off to read another comic, write a review and head off to work. What will I do after work, you ask? Read another comic, perhaps?

Despite not exactly being an entryway for novices, the Jason Aaron writing and Russell Dauterman art will keep fantasy fans coming back for more. For longtime Thor fans, this issue will still be a great read and personally, I can't wait to see where this book goes.

There's a chance that this book's not aimed at me (most likely) and if I was slightly younger I would probably enjoy this more. Unfortunately, I'm not, which means I now have to sit here and suffer through a "I just don't get it" moment.

The Twilight Children #1 plants seeds that'll certainly bear fruit in the future, but all we can do for now is wonder what it all means. They've got me hook, line and sinker, guys.

We Are Robin #4 suffers from one of the things we talk about the most on the podcast: artist changeovers. Even though the artwork's beautiful on it's own, it just doesn't mesh well with a story that deals with heavier topics like responsibility and self-awareness.

Weirdworld #3 takes the previous two issues and follows suit, tossing you into a world without boundaries. If Aaron can think it and Del Mundo draw it, it seems that nine times out of ten it'll end up on the page. Which makes this book fun. Definitely fun.
