Black Hammer: Age of Doom #5 |
Sep 22, 2018 |
Another fantastic issue of Black Hammer: Age of Doom by Jeff Lemire. As both the series and universe Lemire created begin to open up, the series does not fall flat and lose steam. Rather it ramps up giving readers more hooks and promises of a grandiose story that we are only beginning to understand. |

Cover (2018) #1 |

While the concept of this story seems preposterous and displays dreams Bendis might have himself; the issue shows a lot of potential. David Mack's art is the issue's greatest statement, but the characters and writing by Bendis are solid. I look forward to seeing how this story plays out. |

Black Hammer: Age of Doom #4 |
Aug 24, 2018 |
Overall this issue is a winner and hopefully signals a turning point in the series where we start getting answers. But I am just along for the ride, and what a hell of a ride it has been. The issue illustrates Jeff Lemire's ability as a writer drawing on all of his influences. The art is solid like always and shines in the coloring work by Dave Stewart and Dean Ormston's paneling and how it paces out the story. |

Descender #32 |
Jul 25, 2018 |
While the ending wasn't exactly perfect in my opinion and Lemire leaves more questions unanswered then answered. Granted good writing doesn't need to wrap everything up neatly, the final issue was a joy to read and I am looking forward to what is to come in Ascender. |

Another amazing issue from Jeff Lemire! Royal City continues to be my favorite thing being put out right now, and I am excited to see how the story wraps up in the next two issues. |

Port of Earth #7 |
Jul 13, 2018 |
Enjoyed the Comic. The intrigue and conspiracy around the Port of Earth is the best part as the characters and art fall a little flat. The next issue could be a great one as it is one of the first times for the series to demonstrate some meaningful sci-fi action. |
