Descender #32 completes the series' run, but it also establishes the next series. The issue beautifully brings closure to the Descender storyline, while opening up new plot points for the following series. This series has been a real roller coaster with a number of unseen twists like Lemire is a master at introducing. If you've given up on the series, I hope these last couple issues have inspired you to go and pick up the back issues or at the very least buy the trades. Read Full Review
I really love the team and the work that was put together here as it felt unique and engaging in a way a lot of series struggle to get close to. Dustin Nguyen's art style alone made this one of the best series I've read the last few years and just getting more of Jeff Lemire's writing on the original side is a huge plus. Definitely a standout series for me. Read Full Review
While the ending wasn't exactly perfect in my opinion and Lemire leaves more questions unanswered then answered. Granted good writing doesn't need to wrap everything up neatly, the final issue was a joy to read and I am looking forward to what is to come in Ascender. Read Full Review

Rating for the series, this issue would probably get a 7 from me since it doesn't really end, it's a tease for what's to come. I would have preferred a solid ending, but nevertheless this is a rating for the series. Overall fantastic, fascinating plot, likable characters, beautiful art. Lemire's magnum opus in my opinion
I’m not a big fan of anything, let alone a series, that doesn’t really end but only leads you to the next thing the author is doing. The things that were resolved were decent, but he non-ending 32 issues in is quite a disappointment.
