Wynd (2020) #1 |
Jun 17, 2020 |
The oversized 40 page issue really gives time and space for the writing of Tynion IV and the art of Dialynas to bring the world of Wynd to life and create some very poignant moments in the meantime. This slowly developing story leaves several very intriguing avenues to be explored and I for one am interested in seeing where WYND goes in the upcoming issues. |

Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter #1 |
Oct 22, 2019 |
Count Crowleys creative team makes the reader feel like a kid watching a bad horror theater program of the eighties with hosts such as Svengoolie or Elvira, Mistress of the Night. The host cutting in on the movie to crack bad jokes and doing little skits. The worse the movie was the more fun the show. This first book is an enjoyably chilling intro to this fun campy romp. |

Napoleon Dynamite (2019) #1 |
Oct 1, 2019 |
Jorge Monlongos art expertly captures all the awkwardness of Napoleon and the characters around him, while the writing of siblings Carlos and Alejandro hits the tone and personality of this group of teenagers perfectly. The mystery twist to this coming of age comedy makes for a highly entertaining opening issue to this four part mini-series. There are five different covers including three photo covers with still shots from the original movie for collectors who enjoy variants. |
