Burning Fields #1
Jan 27, 2015 |
"Burning Fields #1" draws you in right off the hop, but prepare your stomachs for some blood-curdling imagery. The characters draw you in and make you wonder about their pasts, and what will happen with the tension between them throughout the book. Definitely a geopolitical drama story, with a mix of a mystery, murder and horror, the book keeps your mind racing the more you read as you try to figure out whats going on in Iraq. Burning Fields is a great book to pick up for those interested in a gritty, horror story that will pull you in right off the hop. |

Feathers is fun yet perplexing, leaving a lot of doors open for what lays ahead for Poe and the others. This playfully cartoonish book doesn't drop the ball for a minute, and will keep you glued to these subtle yet charming characters. Im eager to see what adventures await Poe in the future. |

Jorge Corona continues to astound me in this immensely fun and intriguing epic. Every issue makes me crave more, and every time Im rewarded with Feathers brilliant grace. It looks like a dark road ahead for our hero, and it should be interesting to see if his questions will be answered and his past revealed. |

Superman (2016) #6
Sep 7, 2016 |
Tomasi, Gleason and Gray put a fitting end to the first story arc of Superman, giving us a look at whats to come of the new super family. Out of the Rebirth gate Superman has been one of the more promising titles, and with the way Tomasi and Gleason have brought fresh air to Superman, I can see it continuing to thrive.I give Superman #6 a 9/10. |

Superman (2016) #7
Sep 21, 2016 |
This was an enjoyable issue in the pleasing new Superman run, letting us see more Clark than Superman and the family man that he wants to be. Tomasi and Gleason have kept the ball rolling thus far, albeit with a lot of punching, but manage to take away the action for an issue in a pleasing, heart warming way.I give Superman #7 an 8/10. |

VerdictKaplan and Timpano make an admirable team, and itll be interesting to see how the duo continue the murder mystery. With things heating up so quickly, Id like to see the pair take this new dystopian society to someplace we havent been before.I give Eclipse #1 an 8/10. |

Tall Tales From The Badlands #3
Feb 12, 2015 |
Tall Tales form the Badlands #3 does exceedingly well job depicting just how horrific and weird the "Weird West" can be, but fits in well. Exceptionally clear and concise for an anthology, Tall Tales from the Badlands #3 is a smooth read, with extremely distinctive stories throughout. |

The Surface #1
Mar 12, 2015 |
While I enjoyed THE SURFACE, it's very easy to get lost in the vast amount of text on a page. It takes its time trying to get its message across, lingering on the scientific theory's presented throughout the book. This first issue isn't generally gripping, but it has peeked my curiosity and will hopefully improve by the second issue. |
