Executive Assistant: Assassins #6

Dec 18, 2012

All in all Executive Assistant six is about par. The action scenes had nothing that stood out, and the dialogue seems very generic. I think it is due to he fast pace of this issue that nothing gets a chance to really pop. The pacing could be due to the fact that this is part of a ten part event and some parts may have been rushed to keep it on track.

Executive Assistant: Assassins #7

Jan 14, 2013

If you are already a reader of this comic, then this issue will only make you want to keep reading. If you have seen this book on the shelf and were not sure if you wanted to start, this series is a good time to start. The back-story as to what's going on is covered very well in this issue on top of a very cool fighting sequence which takes up a little less than half the issue.

G.I. Joe: Cobra #21

Jan 24, 2013

For a comic that leads into an all new series you'd think the writer would give a little back story. As an action story you get a lot of it in this G.I. Joe tale. Helicopters, explosions, prison escapes are a perfect mixture for an action story. Only problem is to new readers it's just random violence. This story just did not do enough to convince me to go onto the next title.

Homecoming #3

Jan 23, 2013

Homecoming has a lot of potential in becoming a very interesting and different comic in a super hero riddled world. A good author can make you forget, or not mind, the impractical and that's how Wohl writes Homecoming. Going to high school would not be my first step after coming home but if you let that slide, it's enjoyable. Even though this is issue three the comic has not gotten too deep into the story where you can't start now.

Star Wars (2013) #3

Mar 13, 2013

I can't find anything to complain about in this title. Every page makes you want to turn to the next. Even though we know how this story will end, it does nothing to make this story less satisfying. The only thing I would like to see is a little more of Luke's progression as a Jedi, but we know this doesn't really happen until sometime in between Episode 4 and 5. If you are a Star Wars fan of either the new or original trilogy, you should be reading this title.
