If you're looking for a fun superhero story with some darkness, this one's definitely for you. If you were hoping for a ray of light flung into 2099's dark future, you're going to be disappointed. I know I was. |

The Orville #1 |
Jul 19, 2019 |
Simply put, The Orville #1 is a fun space opera comic. Knowledge of the show is a plus, but the characters are archetypal enough that it's likely you won't be too lost if you're a newcomer (that said, if you haven't watched The Orville yet, you really really should). If you like the series as much as I do, it's more of what you love. Recommended. |

Doctor Doom (2019) #1 |
Oct 9, 2019 |
Doctor Doom is a series with rich potential for good or evil. With this debut issue, it looks to be off to a pleasantly ambiguous start, leaving the reader with questions, concerns, and a desire to know more. I can't wait for the next issue. |

Marvel 2099 (2019): Conan #1 |
Nov 29, 2019 |
Conan The Barbarian 2099 #1 is definitely an upswing for this latest incarnation of the 2099 Universe. Here's hoping there's a follow-up featuring a clash of kings between the Cimmerian hero and a certain armor-wearing Latverian despot. Recommended. |
