The upcoming Netflix Daredevil series would majorly benefit from paying attention to what is being done here because this is how to do the character right. Let's hope this creative teams sticks around for another 36 issues and beyond because this is a classic run in the making.

Fans of the show will not be disappointed as the comic is true to the characters, looks fantastic and is in good hands.

While over at IDW they're banking on nostalgia to sell its line of Cartoon Network revivals, the currently airing Regular Show ironically relies on the same demographic to move units as it appeals to our 90's sensibilities. Here's hoping that in a couple decades from now, we'll all be reliving our present day lives via a future re-launch of Regular Show comics, taking us all the way back to good ol' 2014. "Regular Show? What's that?" our kids will ask. "You're too young," we'll reply.

Roche Limit is brimming with ideas and is a prime example of why comics and sci-fi mix so well. It's off to a good start but I'm more interested in where it's going.

Ask yourself this: Do you like your comics with a sci-fi twist, lovable characters, laugh-out-loud absurdity and a healthy dose of sexual debauchery? Then ask your local comic shop retailer if Sex Criminals may be right for you.

Is Sex Criminals worth your time and money? The answer is unequivocally without a doubt YES. If you're trade waiting, don't. This series needs to be experienced now, as it's happening, to be discussed with fellow readers, month after month. As far as I'm concerned, the human race is divided into two camps. Those who are fans of Sex Criminals, and those who haven't read it yet.

Southern Bastards lives up to its name and cements the fact that Image is the place for top talent to create masterpieces.

Perhaps there is a master plan in play and right now we're just seeing the tip of the ice burg but in a market as competitive as this, that tip has to be razor sharp to cut through the glut or risk losing its audience before it has time to grow.

The great thing about weekly series is unlike your average monthly, where you may be three or four months in before you decide if it's worth it to stick around, you can pretty safely say after the first month if you're onboard for the ride or not. While it may not be the most original series ever conceived, if you're a fan of time travel mixed with superheroes, it's at least worth a fair shot.

This issue isn't quite up to the high standard that's been set by the previous entries, but it's by no means unreadable and definitely continues to propel the story forward in an intriguing way. It starts off with a bang, picking up right where last issue's cliffhanger left off and throws a lot at the reader. The momentum only starts to slow towards the end with a stale layout sequence that tells more than shows and while it gives McKelvie the opportunity to show off his mastery of facial expressions, it ends on the weakest cliffhanger yet that feels more soap opera than the "oh crap, did that just happen" moments we've become accustomed to. But although the final page lacks a solid punch, the series is worth staying on board with for the original concept alone.

The Woods is a classic B-movie setup complete with cheesy dialogue and stereotypes, which sometimes takes itself a little too seriously, denying its true essence. As soon as this comic embraces what it is and drops hints to the audience that it is self-aware, I think it will take off as fun, grindhouse-style entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less.

Watch your back Groot, you're not the only Tree from space in comics anymore.

While I'd love to tell you that Trees is the thinking man's comic, and you're missing out big time if you're not pouring over every word of every panel, but I just can't. What initially began as a slow burn with the promise of smartly written hard scifi is steadily burning out and my interest with it. There's no rule that says a story can't exercise the brain while simultaneously engaging our emotions, and unfortunately, this offers neither. Hopefully some of the seeds that are being planted will pay off eventually, but I won't stick around to find out. I know it's called Trees and all, but does the pacing of the story have to match the growth of one?

It's not the greatest #1 I've ever read by a long shot but it shows promise that the horror is just getting started and if Snyder's track record is anything to go by, we're in for a horrifying ride indeed. If you're a fan of horror comics and you're looking for a new series to sink your teeth into, you could do a lot worse than Wytches, which isn't just a blood soaked schlock fest but ultimately is about a family struggling to make the best of their situation and we are rooting for them to overcome the odds.
