The man has good reason, because theres a lot of juicy conflict involving a not-so-Easter-egg on the horizon; a lot as in 50-pages that, you the reader, will only have to pay standard cover price for. With strong character personalities that match the strong facial expressions, a tasteful mystery that will only widen as the story goes, and spectacular dragon action not witnessed in comic pages before, the Monsignor can tell you geeks who fancy the sword-&-sheeth that your money here is well spent.

Lemire and trusted artist Travel Foreman stay within the lanes of the series with infectious beauty, using Lil' Wing as a vehicle to tell her daddy a bedtime story with Lemire's dreamlike scribbles to boot. Although Animal Man " as a series TITLE " is finished for now, I'm just thankful this team made Buddy the Hollywood/household hero he always deserved to be.

Sean(X-O Manowar) Chen's art was clean enough for the more positive tone of the comic, but I'll still take Booster's story with all the importance of DC's current events that surrounds it. Hey" it's not often a monthly-themed comic had this much meaning.

Just when you thought it was dropped"they pulled me back in. The third arc of Greg Pak's surprisingly most inconsistent run on Batman/Superman continues the goods from the first arc " bringing back superstar artist Jae Lee back into the fold " in addition to a story many have wanted to see: a team-up of the original World's Finest with the current: Huntress and Power Girl.

Booster has always been an intrinistic figure in the DC Universe, and Jurgens stop-gaps that visit various Earths and various superheroes (i.e. Kamandi, The Legion, J.L.I., etc.), giving longtime fans of BGizzle what they've always enjoyed.

I'd highly recommend this comic to longtime 'Lands-Fans such as I, but otherwise proceed to this Pandora with a tad bit of caution.

This brisk issue doesn't go away without a wacky ending; but, thankfully, Inhuman scribe Charles Soule gives readers enough tense moments and enough sensical logic for the final page.

As for Soule's Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #1, it was pretty cool to see the likes of Logan's brats (genetically or not), Daken & X-23, get into it with Sabretooth & Lady Deathstrike, yet.. the issue served no more than talking heads. And promotion.

And wow does Leonard Kirk make all of this newfound Baxter Building gloom go boom. Even panels featuring the more personal " such as Sue and Reed having a moment, or Bentley just being his usual mischievous, inventive self " pack plenty of pretty things (at least as much as I can alliterate"). Call it: no cubicle left behind. Thankfully, feeling lonely will be far from the truth for Fantastic Four comic book fans smart enough to pick this up. Don't call it a comeback"

As I said on this podcast, Bunn was the breakout writer of 2014 for me - and Hellbreak might be his most delightful performance yet. He surely knows how to write people at their worst, and we're all the better for it.

Nameless is still the Morrison we all knew before, dreaded, and couldn't stop reading.

But what I do love about this debut from Buccellato (The Flash, Detective Comics), in addition to using my lovely first name of course, is not tell us anything, but show us everything in Toni (Sons of Anarchy) Infantes sharp, terrifying sketches. (Can we get this guy on Ghost Rider, please?) Really, its best for me to not tell you anything about the plot or point of the whole story; just trust that if you enjoyConstantine, are a wee bit curious about David Duchovnys newAquarius series, and plain-out just love you some ferocious artwork,Sons of the Devil will wind up on your pull-list and haunt the other comics besides it.

B #1's got everything to fill your bible belt hollowed-bellied needs, slab of JD ribs and tater salad included.

There's been a handful of debut comics that have kicked ass right off the gate, and this just isn't one of them. But, if magic, monarchy and monsters is your cup of tea, there's no reason to stop sipping on Sovereign. You can bet I'll be at the counter looking for my monthly fix.

While the Star Wars license is off to "The House that Stan Built", Wood (now moving forth to Moon Knight), D'Anda and the rest of the team have something to be proud of: Memorable comics that deserve a rightful position alongside the original trilogy. With the Dark Horse era of Star Wars comics now becoming legend, it's nice to see a new hope in the extended part of this universe with the Marvel reboot as well.

As for the rest of New Golden Gate Stark, hes just a prick. Theres not too much depth or exposition for his latest motivation for this one, and youll become especially lost as to why if you arent reading AXIS. Its more like Im Iron Man. You should also listen to my trying to be hip! In most cases, that certainly would be enough to justify following his recent spurn of whiskey-laden behavior. But with Superior, were only looking up to ol Shellhead for his showmanship not his faulty, stache-twirling Google analytics.

Stay in tune with the rest of the fresh debut of The Multiversity, and I can promise you'll be vibing right along to a very Marvelous Earth-8 " and one ass-kicker of an ending.

If you're sick of all the dark and dreary, too bad. This comic is on par with stellar sushi grade calamari. Enjoy the silence.

The title was fine enough as a straight-up underwater thriller, but I came away with so much more when I woke the fuck up and discovered the sea.

Despite a few nuisances, reading this comic is the next best way to continue The X-Files lore until Chris Carter convinces 20th Century Fox that the next movie will actually be good

Besides Spider-Man, can Bendis only truly write compelling crime comics? It seems whenever the writer gets away from his element (Daredevil, Powers, The United States of Murder Inc.), his clunky conversation can't help but get in the way of plot.

I'd argue that no other writer has taken Wolverine to the brink quite like this. From the regenerized danger of a modern Weapon X program to HELL to his current status as Professor Logan (a near overhaul of a character that saw no one complain, unlike all of that new killable/bad guy stuff), seeing this series go just stinks.
