An all-around improvement from "Battle of the Atom". All-New X-Men #28 is a Buy!

Amazing X-Men #9 suffers slightly from one minor artistic flaw, that could really be me just nitpicking. In terms of "X-Books", this one is by far my favorite. I hope Chris Yost continues to write these fun adventures for the rest of this series. Amazing X-Men #9 is a total Buy for any X-fan.

What happens when a gang of low-lives decide to threaten the Queen of Atlantis? A whole lot of ass kicking! Aquaman #32 keeps the action consistent on each page, and had me burning through my first read with eager anticipation. The new villain is really interesting, and I'm excited to see the battle continue in #33.

Batman #32 is a prime example of a great comic book. Snyder dominates each page, backed by Miki, and Capullo's standout art styles! Year Zero is an important read for any Bat-fan, and Batman #32 is a must Buy issue!

Batman and Ra's Al Ghul #32 suffers from a lack of proper narration, an awkward cover, and rushed line art. With that said; this issue is still entertaining. This last issues sets up a huge change of pace for the series, and I expect readers to be very surprised with the end of this arc. I know I didn't see it coming.

Captain America #17 isn't a total disappointment. Rick Remender progresses the story adequately, and paints Steve Rogers in a unique light. Captain America having bouts of depression, and doubt are themes that are rarely explored for the character. Dr. Mindbubble is a carbon copy of DC's Earth 3 Alfred (Forever Evil), masked as a clown on acid. Klein does a decent job on the art. Unfortunately Issue #17 also has some strange character poses, and a poor color palette choice. I'm going to keep up with this series, but the last 3 issues have been a slow spiral into mediocrity. F**ck it. I love the Captain, but this issue was above average at best.

Remender's run is slowly improving, and serves as a great read once the whole Dr. Mindbubble shock is over. I sometimes forget that Captain America's villains are at times..colorful. (I'm lookin' at you, Batroc!) Overall, Captain America #18 is a major improvement from last issue. While not the most original concept, Remender adds a lot of credit to the story with his superb ability to capture Steve Roger's voice. Klein improves significantly on the art side, especially in his figure work and colors. While a lot of details are lacking in some panels, it's excuseable when there is only one artist working on both the book and cover. Thank you, Remender, for not making me hand out another sh*tty score to one of my favorite heroes of all time.

Ray Fawkes writes a great issue in Constantine #15. The dialogue is superb, capturing Constantine's oafish "Ringo Star" Constantine Duck Face issue 15 reviewaccent beautifully. The narrative elegantly guides the reader from panel-to-panel, while not becoming overly saturated. Constantine's expressions teach the reader a little bit about magic, and the world he lives in without making it apparent that he's speaking to the audience. The conversations feel natural, which can be difficult in any kind of story where information has to be quickly divulged to the reader.

Earth 2 #19 keeps a quick pace, faltering only with a couple sloppy transitions and strange character poses. Otherwise, this issue is a must buy. Pick this one up, Nuggeteers.

Earth 2 #25 is a little crowded, but keeps a great pace. There's a lot that happens that needs to be expanded on, but nothing that can't be handled later.

Forever Evil #4 goes big with some majordevelopmentsand twists. The art is dark and intriguing, suffering only with the occasional poorly drawn face. Other than the "Neanderthalic" facial features, this is a total buy! The ending got me so pumped for the next issue, I can barely contain myself!

Geoff Johns strikes again! Forever Evil #5 is a shining nugget of pleasure. Every panel blew me away! Tons of action! Tons of development! This crossover is blowing me away. Forever Evil #5 gets my vote for comic of the week. I proudly give issue #5 a perfect score!

Invincible #112 successfully continues Kirkman's mission to reboot the Invincible world. A lot of characters die, and it's bloody as hell the whole way through. Great read. Super entertaining. Invincible is back to its former glory! If you've been disappointed with this series the last year or two, do yourself a favor and give this book another shot.

Justice League of America #11 makes a valiant attempt to continue Stargirl and Martian Manhunter's development, while juggling a tie in to 'Forever Evil'. The story suffers due to the constant leaps in perspective and focus. JLA #11"s saving grace is surprisingly beautiful and cohesive art, even with so many artists.

Out of all the Marvel books out this week, i'd say New Avengers #19 hits the top 3 in terms of all around quality. I'll keep reading for now, Hickman.

New Avengers #20 is a great book with one major flaw: it follows an incredibly negative trend that is reinforced by Marvel as a whole. If you can disregard character growth from books you've enjoyed in the past, this issue will be a great read. If you're like me, you might be a little pissed at Hickman. Either way, New Avengers #20 is still a Buy.

I haven't followed Suicide Squad in quite some time, but New Suicide Squad #1 has done a great job of pulling my interest back into the team. Maybe it's simply my love for Deathstroke, but I think this book is going to be a hell of a ride.

I really miss Ed McGuinness's run on this series. Nova #18"s art holds it back, forcing me to give it a much lower score than the story deserves. The ending qualifies as a pretty big deal for Sam Alexander, so fans should pick this issue up anyway.

Kieronn Gille is killing it! Origin II #2 is a must buy. This is going to be one of those books that's going to be talked about for the next ten years. Even if you aren't a Wolverine fan (like me) do yourself a favor and pick up Origin II #2!

Original Sin #4 builds what is quite possibly the most entertaining, and well structured Marvel event in years. While lacking a proper cover, and somewhat over saturated dialogue, issue #4 does not fail to entertain.

Original Sin #5 is an over-the-top issue, with a lot of incredibly unbelievable plot development. If you're following the event, prepare to be a little annoyed. If you can put your disbelief on the shelf, and try to remember that this is a Superhero book"well, you are stronger than I.

Original Sin #6 is lacking the same progression as previous issues, but continues to sport some of the best art in any comic book out today.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #32 is simply childish, and reads more like a book targeted at idiots than at young adults. My advice to our readers is this: Don't read this book. Open it. Ogle the nice art, and shut it forever. Red Hood #32 is a Borrow, at best.

Robin Rises: Omega #1 is an sight to see, and has some amazing posing that looks incredible without making the battle look like a physical improbability. The colors are vibrant, but have a dark undertone thanks to some raw looking line art. Everything felt appropriately detailed, and the panels were creative, yet easy to follow.

All in all, a great issue. Slott loses a point for trying to cram Jay Jonah Jameson into this book. Nothing about Jonah's "scheme" makes me believe his plot device will be used for more than a future plot device for Peter's return. I could be wrong, in which case it should have been expressed in Slott's writing. Great art. Great story. If you weren't already planning on it, I recommend you pick up Superior Spider-Man #27 .

A superior issue ofSuperior Spider-Man.How does Dan Slott do it? 2 week releases at this level of quality? This series is my best favorite run since 'Evolve or Die'. Pick it up. I'm trying to find more to say, but this book doesn't need me to convince you.There are only a few issues left. This is a series that won't soon be forgotten! Superior Spider-Man #28web swings away with a perfect score!

'Walking Dead' is losing everything that made it great. The story is adisappointmenton every front.. The art is the only saving grace. It eats away at my heart to do this.

Ray Fawkes tries valiantly to keep focus on Pandora in her self titled book. The problem is that this is a crossover. There are a lot of developments in Blight that needed to be discussed. Instead, it was almost entirely focused on Pandora's revelation. The events from Constantine should have been built upon in this issue, but were left on the back burner. Pandora #7 suffers from poor perspective, masked by some impressive color work.

Wolverine & The X-Men #6 is awesome at being really bad. It's a messy, and shallow ending, further convoluted by some vomit-inspired art. This book is a Skip. So much Skip. Don't bother. In fact, if possible, try to go back in time and unread the last 5 issues.
