It's the BIGGEST comic event in ARCHIE HISTORY! Archie and Reggie's ongoing feud reaches a fever pitch that pits the two against each other in a thrill ride on the deadly Serpent's Tail!
If you haven't been reading Archie (or any of its satellite books) you're missing on one of the best and most effective relaunches ever. And as the starting point to a new storyline, this issue us a great one to start doing so. So go ahead and join the Riverdale gang already! Read Full Review
I'm really enjoying Pete Woods' art here, but I still find his people to be a little bit uneven. That said, his backgrounds and objects (especially the cars!) are really outstanding. I was also a bit unnerved at the decision on the final page to show one of the kids taking smartphone images/video of an accident scene, but it absolutely shows this book is taking place in 2017. That stands in contrast to the idea of two teenagers "racing for pinks", like it's 1978 and Danny Zuko is singing Broadway songs when he's not greasing his hair back. No spoilers about the rest of the book, just read it and then curse the calendar that it's not next month yet. Read Full Review
Archie #20 proves that "Over the Edge" can live up to the arc's own hype. Juggling long-standing dynamics but injecting their daily routines with some surprisingly high stakes, it's an introduction that leaves the reader wanting more, and provides long time Archie fans with great character and relationship work " which is all you can ask for from a slice of life comic. This is a great issue to add to the series. It's bound to cause quite a stir in Riverdale, and make or break certain friendships. I have no idea if Betty is going to be able to forgive Archie"or if she's even okay enough to talk to him about it (assuming it was her car that fell off the cliff). Either way, next issue should prove to be an emotional one, and I can't wait to read it! Read Full Review

Archie has gotten himself and his friends in such a hot mess this time someone may not find themselves out of it. Waid and Woods are making sure this story lives up to the hype and so far so good. Archie Comics has raised the stakes before, most notably with their “Death to Archie” storyline, as well as their duel “Married Life with Archie” stories. “Over the Edge” seems more like a classic Life with Archie story, where life or death is teased for the sake of temporary drama, although the repercussions will only cause a small ripple in the universe as we know it. “Over the Edge” kicks off a little slow, but should slam into high gear by part2 or 3. A predictable ending, inconsistent art, and tonal consistency problems make this an issue to skip unless you're a big Archie fan. Read Full Review
All rather predicable. I hope this title improves soon.
If this is "the BIGGEST comic event in ARCHIE HISTORY" no wonder Archie Comics is in trouble. This new plot feels like it came out of nowhere and Archie acts like an idiot.
