Sophora’s journey continues! Executive Assistant Sophora has learned that to be a pirate in this day and age means trusting no one! The pulse-pounding “Lost at Sea” story arc reaches its thrilling conclusion, as Sophora, along with her secret lover Landon, must attempt to escape the maniacal Tinkoté’s deadly deep ocean ambush on the Sea Voyager at all costs. However, the solution to her problem may just be the toughest choice Sophora will ever have to make!
With things picking up in the cross-over next issue, it will be interesting to see how these characters, as well as the countless others that will be brought in fit in terms of plot progression, but thus far, story is plotted nicely, fitting in some back-story with two major characters in a few short issues. Because of the space constraints, personality traits do seem to be glossed over at times, with more open ended points than closed ones, but for the most part, everything is moving along at a good pace. Here is yet another book with a half naked chick with guns kicking ass. This is part 2 of 2 of the arc called Lost at sea, where Sophora must choose a life with Landon or continue as a pirate with her master. It started off kind of slow but the action picked up pretty quick and became exciting. The ending was a bit unexpected but cool. This is not a title I usually read but it was easy to know what was going on right off the bat. The art style is very crisp and the coloring and visuals were deep and delightful. If this is your first issue on the series then you picked an awkward time to join since it’s the ending of the second story arc. If you enjoyed the last issue then the conclusion is rewarding and worth the purchase. For me personally I found this story arc to be far better than the first story and I’m hoping that the series will only get improve from here. Read Full Review
