With Cordelia struggling to keep the show together without him, she turns to a very familiar face as a potential new co-star, one whose past is also catching up with them!
Our baddies seem to be multiverse versions of other characters, although (after skipping several issues of this title) I'll admit to being a bit lost about the point of the story or their reasons for attacking in such public places. Boom Studios' current Angel series from Christopher Cantwell, Daniel Bayliss, and Patricio Delpeche fails to shake some of its frustrating flaws in its sixth issue. A slight improvement over the last issue does not make this series suddenly great. I don't have the energy to bash this title more than I already have. What makes it worse is that I think Cantwell is a good writer, he just totally missed the point here. The one saving grace is that this issue captures some of Angel's funny ego that Boreanaz played so well in the show. But that's about it.
