Marian Heretic #1 isn't just a bloody, badass horror comic. It also offers meditations on faith, and how it can be weaponized against others or take different forms. Tini Howard and Joe Jaro have a hell of a concept here, if you'll pardon the pun. Really interesting premise, good start to the story. Definitely got me interested and this will go on my pull list.
A super solid start to this book. Jaro does a really nice job with the art, making the action feel dynamic throughout. Furthermore, he just makes everything look really nice in general. As for the story, I thought it was a pretty intriguing one. Religion is an...interesting topic to say the least, and it seems like this is going to deal with gender within that, as well as questioning religion, which is something religions often advocate against.
When a feminazi has all the freedom to write a creator-owned feminist story, what you get is this shit, a fucking woman with big tits and a fucking flat body running the whole damn thing.
