This series just keeps getting better and better. This issue finds a way to raise the stakes higher than ever before and seems to be a better end for the first arc than issue #4 was thanks to the surprising way it concludes. No surprise,Mech Cadet Yu continues to be a great series and Mech Cadet Yu #6 is a great entry into its storyline. Pak continues to write a fantastic story with some wonderful characters. The art also continues to be stand-out and fantastic with a great eye for detail and character acting. This is absolutelyone of the greatest all-ages series in comic books and should not be missed. The world of comics is better having Mech Cadet U in it. It is this consistent light and enjoyable read that never feels empty or disposable. Sure giant robots fighting giant aliens is pretty much automatically fun. Where Mech Cadet U excels is adding a lot of heart to that idea to make all the large than life action mean something. If you know anyone at any age that is looking for a new series to get into this is the ideal comic to point them towards. Read Full Review

Final Verdict: 4.9 – For a series as compelling and fresh as “Mech Cadet Yu” issue #6 is ultimately more about the noise. What could have been exciting sequences within the confines a more rounded entry, unfortunately ends up being too much ado about nothing, lacking on strong characters moments and believable danger. This is largely where the issue fails, despite a visually-grabbing art style and coloring that do their best to imbue interesting features. Read Full Review
