Mighty Morphin #12 brings several plot points to a head via character interactions, setting the stage for the upcoming Eltarian War storyline. The biggest Power Rangers storyline since Shattered Grid is on the horizon, and I hope my fellow Ranger fans pick up the following issues because I have the feeling they're in for something special. This issue is a series of long-simmering confrontations coming to a head, and they're marvelous to see played out. This series is a master class in long-form storytelling, as Parrott and his creative team pull threads and butt heads that have been building for a long time. It's real, deep stuff. Read Full Review
The Eltarian War is right around the corner, and I couldn't be more excited. While I wasn't in love with the early story arcs of Mighty Morphin, the creative team has certainly stepped up their game with gripping plots, interesting adversaries, and intense moments that literally leave me with my mouth agape. This book continues to grow by leaps and bounds as the saga builds. Given the threat to Zordon and the massive threat of the Eltarians and Empyreals, things should just keep getting more intense. Ryan Parrott just keeps turning up the dial as the Rangers move into all out war. Read Full Review
I'm still not in love with the art style of this current arc, and while it doesn't necessarily drag the book down, it also doesn't exactly lift it up either. Regardless, the war has officially begun, and Ranger fans are in for quite the adventure. Read Full Review
Holy sh&$5!!!! how are you not reading this?!!!!!!
If someone recommends these books to you but you remember how cheesy and silly the show was (Especially Season 3), don't let that cloud your judgement. This has everything the show lacked when it came to intrigue. Zordon confronts Lord Zedd after learning his worst enemy was actually an old friend. He also learns any remnants of that friend perished long ago.
The end of this issue was one of the most thrilling cliffhangers in the series yet. Zartus has finally revealed his hand, and Zordon was forced to pay. I look forward to the big war. It's shaping up to be the biggest challenge for the Rangers since shattered grid.
