The Horse's final play is here. He and The Navigator enter their final battle, and it takes
place on a plane no one would expect! The most personal battle of all is here in the finale
to this series and only one person is walking away from it!
Ive always felt like Translucid was operating at an intellectual level above myself. Its an incredibly smart book that conducts itself on a grand operatic scale at times and at other times slows down to sublime moments of self-reflection. Its been refreshing to the core, with a seriously psychologically damaged hero, and a villain who at times seems more capable than the hero. I couldnt be sadder to see it go but I also couldnt be happier with the ride weve shared. Read Full Review
Translucid has been an excellent pairing of great writing and fantastic art. The nice thing about this series is that it's great for fans of the superhero genre but it also appeals to the casual reader. Overall Translucid was an intriguing and psychedelic mindfuck of a read, which gets my seal of approval. It will be exciting to read this as one whole piece now. Read Full Review
The ending of this run is superb, perfectly delivered and kept in sync with the first five glorious issues. A real gem of a series that I will sorely, sorely miss. If you too have been on this epic journey with Cornelius and Horse, then this finale is as perfect as you can hope for, giving enough answers to satisfy while leaving enough unanswered to infuriate, leaving this book very prominently in your mind long after finishing it. I am so sad to see this title end but I plan on giving it another read through before I finally say goodbye. I recommend everyone else do the same. Claudio and Chondra really know how to create a story that keeps you guessing and thanks to them I feel like everyone has a better insight into the world of good vs evil and that everyone should love thy nemesis. This was a solid series. It will hold a respectable spot on your shelf next to The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys and other colorful, apocalyptic miniseries in recent memory. I'm definitely looking forward to sitting down in an afternoon soon and reading the whole collected edition and seeing if that streamlines the story a bit, but otherwise, I have no complaints. It's been a heck of a half year; can't wait to see what Echert, Sanchez and Bayliss get into next. Read Full Review
Not the best ending, but great series.
