American Gods #6 does in excellent job in finally revealing Mr. Wednesday's true identity and his plan. I've waited six issues for this and it's well worth the wait. Mr. Nancy is the most memorable character among the gods introduced. That's stating a lot since they're all intriguing now. It's also good to see Shadow in a situation that doesn't revolve around Mr. Wed"Odin's plan. And what's even better are the answers that are given. Overall, I found this to be an exciting and wild ride into a warped reality. Things are beginning to unfold, revealing secrets, identities and plans to Shadow at an alarming rate. P. Craig Russell delicately handles this adaptation in a subtle and respectful way, and this coupled with Scott Hampton's art, makes for an enjoyable journey. Hampton has hit it out of the park with the art in this issue, and that convinced me to stick with the comic. Fans of the TV show may be a little disappointed to see that it is not a direct-tie in, but it is worth exploring to see another interpretation of the story. Read Full Review
Fans of the books and those who have watched the television show need not pick up this text-heavy issue. The only new components offered to American Gods fans are the visuals, which you can feel free to skim through without reading the text if you are familiar with either of the other mediums this story is presented in.
