    Comics: The Gathering - F-O-R-R-E-S-T Oct 15, 2014

This book serves as a reminder that real, normal people exist in the BPRD/Hellboy world. It also serves as a reminder that even the BPRD is only seperated from those real people by their uniforms. Most importantly, though, it serves as a reminder that we ourselves could very easily be those real people if our world was turned upside down and then burnt to ashes like this. Buy this, breathe it in, confront the feelings of horror and terror you experience in your everyday life and then realize that it could be so much worse, it's both cathartic and awakening in the best ways. Multiversity Comics - David Harper and Brian Salvatore Oct 15, 2014

If a comic is always one level, always dealing with one monster or another and not with the people of the world, then its tone can flatten and it can start losing me as a reader. Sometimes, it's nice to take a break for a little cup of coffee, even if it's one that ends in tears. I know you weren't into me calling it remarkable, but hey, it's subjective medium! This was my favorite issue in a while, and one that reaffirms everything I love about this book. Read Full Review

Infinite Comix - Jamie Heron Oct 17, 2014

This undercurrent of creepiness and it's one-shot nature makes B.P.R.D. #124 an excellent and exciting issue. It's both a great introduction and stepping stone for new and returning readers and it manages to carry forward ideas and character development points that have been seeded a while ago. Given its one-shot nature, this issue is easy to recommend. Read Full Review
