While on a job in Denmark with her fellow Wyrders, Imogen hears some odd news: hundreds of refugees fleeing the spread of Nazism are traveling into the nearby forest, and never returning. Helping a young man find his refugee family will bring Imogen face-to-face with some of the worst that war can inflict upon those in need-and make her ask the difficult question of what she's really fighting for.

Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden, the writing team behind Baltimore and other Outerverse titles, spotlight the witch Imogen in this exciting one-shot.

Monkeys Fighting Robots - Zac Owens Jun 23, 2021

Dark Horse's IMOGEN OF THE WYRDING WAY is a relatively simple comic. Yet that's part of what makes it so terrifying. It doesn't try to horrify you with grisly images or ugly ghouls. No, it shows you just enough for you to connect the dots yourself. It brilliantly blends fantasy and horror to make a subtle, slow terror. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Mark Tweedale Jun 23, 2021

Final Verdict: 8 " "Imogen of the Wyrding Way" is a classic Outerverse story in so many ways, using storytelling devices that have been employed since its inception, but it never loses sight of the future either. As much as Imogen's story feels classical, Imogen herself is pushing the Outerverse into new frontiers, quickly becoming one the series' most compelling characters. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Nick Devonald Jun 22, 2021

An excellent addition to the world of the Outerverse, which is growing at an incredible rate. Like Hellboy's Mignolaverse, Mignola is crafting another universe with as much talent and love as before, and this is a universe which is almost guaranteed to stand the test of time like it’s older brother, and keep readers coming back time after time. Don’t sleep on this series, pick it up, along with Lady Baltimore, and explore the Outerverse now in its infancy. Read Full Review

    BGCP - Michael Lennox Jun 24, 2021

Golden and Mignola's cautionary tale here sits well as a single shot issue, you do not need any prior knowledge of Baltimore or the Outerverse. The tale is clear, simply written but all the better for it. The rest of the creative team enhances the issue with clear artwork, brooding colours, and on-point lettering. Read Full Review

Imogen of the Wyrding Way was an entertaining book. Seems like this is an anthology series so the next issue will be a different story. I kind of wish it would be it's own series if it is an anthology, it had good story elements and the writing was great. The art seemed a bit too light compared with its dark themes and adult contact. It had a great story but felt more like an episode, with some story parts just being shoved in there. Still the magic is cool and so is the concept.
