Following The Nerd - Christopher Williams Sep 24, 2012

This has been one of the best Star Wars series to be released in a while and was easily one of the best all around comic events this year. Anyone who missed out on this should go down to their local comic shop and pick up all these issues. Luckily mine is really good at keeping back issues in stock. The art here is killer too. Props to anyone who can give us a really great look of surprise from a cyborg who has robotic eyes. Read Full Review

Darth Vader comes across as a mindless order taker for much of this series. However, you don't survive at the side of the Emperor for as long as he did, with the number of failures he's had, without some tricks up your sleeve. This book highlights some of them while telling a unique and entertaining story. The book introduces a ton of characters and makes use of some of the under-used ones from previous comic book series. This was a terrific read in what is an instant classic mini-series. Read Full Review

If you have become jaded in regards to Star Wars comics (or even Star Wars in general), I urge you to check this series out. From start to finish, it has been a high quality exploration of the nature of the Empire and those who would sacrifice their lives to protect it. Brilliant stuff. Read Full Review

"Darth Vader - Ghost Prison" #5 is a wonderful installment for Star Wars fans looking to understand the legend of Darth Vader. His dedication to the Empire, his cunning in battle and will to overpower his foes is without compare, and Haden Blackman provides a story showcasing all of that. I always took Darth Vader's reputation on faith, but it is through stories like this that that faith is being rewarded. Read Full Review

The concept of telling stories of things that happened between Star Wars Episode III and Episode IV is nothing new. But completely compelling nonetheless. This was a great take on the concept, and stayed true to the characters. If you're into Star Wars and want a good read, pick up this entire series. Read Full Review
