    Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #2 provides great insight into the mindset and the misery of The Rumor and it fills us in on the life of The Seance. We get a lot of intrigue and some great artwork but the structure makes it feel like we're not making any progress. Read Full Review

    Where the first issue spent more time building up intrigue, Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion issue 2 feels like a more proper re-introduction of the cast. While names are rarely mentioned, you are treated to some superhero antics turned on their head, as we're given glimpses into the life of these superhero has-beens. The gang is still as broken up as they ever were, but at least it feels like the last of the introductions have happened and the time for story is just around the corner. Read Full Review

    The interpersonal drama explored in these snippets will satisfy longtime fans, and Gerard Way intricate narrative feels self-assured in the best of ways. Still, the issue's final pages feel like they're missing some sort of action and such uneven grounding will leave readers a bit put out. Read Full Review
