This was the first Action Comics issue written by John Byrne after the Alan Moore Action Comics run that I didn't read. I didn't even know Moore wrote any Superman stories until now so will add it to my reading list for sure. In this we get special guest from the Teen Titans starting with Cyborg, Donna, and Beast Boy. Superman appears to have gone apeshit, obviously his mind was transfered with a disabled man full of anger toward the world. Bad Superman flexing his strength, endangering the people, Cyborg at first on his own attempts to fight the Man of Steel. Superman literally takes his arm off and shows no honor, Cyborg reacts fast enough to get away but really takes a lot of damage from a long fall from a hug building. Do more

Not big on this one. It was TOO goofy. I understand that what with him being Superman weirder things have to happen to create tension and you can't have a crazy, bombastic set piece every issue and levity really helps break that up. This was just too far in another direction. Byrne is also not great at writing women or the Titans. We're told not shown what happened to Superman that caused him to fight the Teen Titans at the very end in like two panels. Byrne has this odd consistency to hit and miss repeatedly on his books. Hopefully that doesn't continue but 8 issues in, I'm not holding my breath.
