I don't want to pile on here because to be honest the last several months of the Mon-El storyline as we revved up into Last Stand have been very good. And I think this issue was a very nice capstone wrapping up some of the bigger storylines weaving through the run. So this issue will get a good grade. But overall, I think my feeling about this Robinson in Superman would be frustrated. Read Full Review
I actually liked both stories. The first story had Vril Dox in it, and as far as I'm concerned, a Dox appearance can make ANY comic better! The second story felt somewhat rushed, but was a satisfying end to Mon-El's story. Read Full Review
At the end of the day, it's a so-so wrap up to Mon-El and the 21st century Legion. It's a little rushed in places, and some plot threads seem to have fallen away entirely. (Did anyone else notice that on the hidden Legion members in the 21st century that we never did get appearances of Dream Girl or Tyroc? Oops. Hopefully, Paul Levitz will fix that.) "Adventure Comics" seems to be the poster child for having stories derailed these days, but with Levitz on board starting next month let's hope it's the start of some stability. Read Full Review
Reading this comic was a chore. It felt more like a checklist than a story. Every time Mon-El meets someone new, they start narrating. And theres nothing they tell us that couldnt have been conveyed through dialogue. It also emphasizes how useless Mon-El is to his won story. If youve been following the New Krypton saga, you can safely skip this comic. Its not even a necessary prologue to the new Legion series. Read Full Review
