    The cover of the issue is drawn by Aaron Lopresti who has completely floored me with his run on Wonder Woman. The internal art by Travis Moore is sort of pedestrian. I still love that Kara comment! Read Full Review

    As a Blackest Night tie-in, Adventure Comics is pretty decent here as it covers what it's like from the inside of someone who is controlled by one of the rings. After the events of the fifth issue of Blackest Night, we got a clearer picture of what's going with those that Nekron can control, so this one separates us from the main story for a bit to focus on just a couple of characters and only one that's been controlled. I've generally liked Conner Kent, he was my favorite during the Reign of the Superman arc way, way back, and this story works nicely overall, though it again highlights just how convoluted a character can get over the years, almost to the point where it's just plain silly and too easy to manipulate.     All of this simply makes one wonder if this series will be able to maintain a consistent identity throughout these transitions. We've seen numerous examples of books falling by the wayside as readers stop trying to figure out what the book is and move on to more solidified offerings. I'd hate for the same to happen to Adventure Comics. It had a really strong beginning, one that deserves to be upheld. Read Full Review
