At the end of this issue we're no closer to getting the kidnapped kids back, and this might be frustrating for readers who were expecting more closure " particularly since these kids have been missing since issue one. But we've been getting a pretty nice look at the supernatural side of Gotham, in a series that uses a slightly slower pace to sell the underlying motivations of its characters, and the balance achieved between the campier antics and the emotional dramas is solid. “Batwoman” is still going strong, and with the added punch of J.H. The conclusion to the To Drown the World arc isn't earth-shattering, but it isn't overly disappointing either. Blackman and Williams give us a good reason to tune in again next month, and the events are enjoyable enough as the light fare that they are. The most excitingnews forthis series going for it forward is that J.H. Williams III returns as the artist next month, but, for now,this book is worth a quick read, consideringits relatively low cover price. Read Full Review

I appreciate that Williams and Blackman tried out this ambitious story. There were times when I thought it might work if it all tied together brilliantly in the end somehow, but the finale has not proven to be worth the confusion and disconnect. I'm certainly in for the next round, but I hope it's more like the first arc. Read Full Review
