The  Batwoman has more or less been the black sheep of the Batman Family books, and you know what, that's okay. This issue, and the mythical ties it brings with it gives us a whole different dimension of types of stories that are being brought to Gotham. Batwoman #14 is one of DC Comics most beautifully unique titles, if not the most. The art is so enthralling, never boring or predictable. The story is so well done, and so unique to the Bat family. The story arc involving Wonder Woman and the Greek gods and their involvement in Gotham is a fresh take on the usual thugs who infest the great city. If J.H. Williams ever leaves this series I'm sure it will not be the same. Read Full Review

Oh man, the previous issue, Batwoman #13, was greatness. It was amazing, as awesome as a team up between Batwoman and Wonder Woman should be! But sadly, this issue falls a little short. There's not as much good stuff happening. Just a few pages agonizing over Pegasus' wounds and a lot of chaos in Gotham. There's no meaningful interaction between the two heroes. This is just an effort in moving the story along – but it's still a pretty great comic. And the art, like I said, is the stuff of legend. I can only hope Williams is saving his best for the big conflict next issue. Read Full Review

Throughout the course of her publication history, Batwoman has steadily been severing ties with people rather than building them. She is at her most isolated at this point, estranged from her father, cousin, girlfriend and even distant with other members of the Batman Family. Despite being in the greatest battle she could ever imagine, a constant source of anguish for her is the realization she doesn't have anyone to share what could be her final moments with. If she survives, hopefully it will be a lesson learned that being your own woman doesn't necessarily mean being devoid of attachment. Read Full Review
