Trapped on a dying world, John will have to pull off the most daring escape of his life if hes going to survive! Dont miss the debut of new series artist Jeremy Haun (BATWOMAN).
Of course, its pretty clear by now that Constantine isnt Hellblazer, but that doesnt stop this from being one of DCs stronger titles even with it involved in the Earth 2 drama right now (which at least so far, Fawkes is making it newcomer friendly). Its always good to see this reviewers favourite comic character in action and going forward this series should be great to read, especially with the upcoming television show. Fawkes is getting better with each issue so hopefully he can make the first meeting of both Constantines pretty memorable. Next issue cant come quickly enough. Read Full Review
CONSTANTINE #18 is a solid entry to the series and the a fun start to the next arc. Fawkes' script is smart and well paced, and the art by Jeremy Haun provides the right amount of grit needed for the series. Though the issue lacks some tension, the setup for the arc promises to deliver a conflict that may not be so easily dealt with. Read Full Review
Right away I'd like to say that it was great having Jeremy Haun on this book. I've had some issues in the past with this book having different artists and trying to understand what they were presenting me, but no issue with the issue this month because Jeremy's art was solid and I hope he stays on for a long time. So we've got Constantine on Earth 2 and while normally this idea would make me produce a squeak sound for some reason, I'm a little blown out on Earth 2 this week. I guess it makes sense to have all this Earth 2 stuff go down at the same time, but man it's been a lot and while yes John was on Earth 2, there was nothing really Earth 2-y about the issue. Maybe I just don't enjoy subtly and wanted this issue to scream Earth 2 in my face. Even though there was no face screaming, I enjoyed the issue and the prospect of things to come in future stories. Go check it out. Read Full Review
This series has got one more arc to impress me. I've been saying that for a very long time, because it seems like it manages to pull out a good issue every now and then in order to keep me interested. However, this is the next disappointing issue in what is becoming quite a long line, so maybe Earth 2 can reinvigorate this series and put it back on track. Read Full Review
