After the Flash's battle with the Thinker and Blacksmith, Wally West decides to visit his close friends and family, but a shocking discovering about Mirror Master and the Piper sends him racing to Iron Heights prison!
A pretty solid rest-stop issue as the issue pretty much touches base with all the main plot elements that were left dangling after the "Crossfire" arc wrapped up, though Max Mercury's disappearance still remains conspicuously absent from these pages. Still, if you're a regular reader of this book then you'll probably enjoy this issue as all the various supporting players get a brief little moment in the spotlight, and there's a couple of nice surprises, from Iris West going out on a dinner date with Officer Chyre, to the closing pages, as we see the Pied Piper pays a visit to a former member of the Rogues. Now following in the aftermath of the "Crossfire" arc this issue does feel a bit low-key, and even subdued, but it held my attention throughout. I'm also glad to see Geoff Johns has basically restored Cyborg to his roots, as not only is his gray coloring back, but so is his inability to look fully human. Read Full Review
The Flash checking in on Cyborg is the least interesting since it seems old-hat, but his exchange with Morillo is fun, and Iris' new beau does come as a shock. I have to say the panel with the Flash in shadow puzzled me, but all in all, a good if not heart-pounding read. Read Full Review
Scott Kolins is missed but this was a great issue. I wish they showed the actual dinner though. Any appearance of Wally’s grandpa is appreciated. The Fred-Iris friendship was pretty funny lmao. Morillo’s wife is excessively mentioned like every single issue, I’m guessing she’s either a known character or he’s a closeted gay man with a husband or something like that
