Jim Corrigan tackles what appears to be a run-of-the-mill murder investigation, but when he discovers the supernatural is at play, it becomes a job for the Spectre.
First impression of the new title? Excellent. When you take into account how cheap the digital only books are, it's an absolute steal. Two issues, three nice stories with three great characters and excellent creative teams. The only very slight negative is that the stories can be a little less layered than normal, due to space restraints, but good creators tend to find ways around that. Read Full Review
The Spectre is a character I really enjoy and have picked up most of the series it headlined over the years, though they're either miniseries or short-lived series. When there's good focus on him or on Corrigan, as the two aren't always bonded, there's a lot of neat stories to explore throughout the DC Universe that appeal since it's not all the usual characters that get involve. Superman, for example, doesn't offer much when it comes to what the Spectre deals with. Jurgens has a solid script here that reminds me of those good old days while Eaton and Faucher deliver a great look to it that makes me want more overall. I'm excited to see what else the Ghosts books have to offer. Read Full Review
