Despite not enjoying Bendis' Man of Steel miniseries, this and Action Comics are a pleasant surprise. I'm slowly warming up to Brian's dialogue and characterization of Clark, but I enjoyed this nonetheless. The reintroduction of classic Supes villain Jax-Ur and the incorporation of sidelined characters like Blue Beetle, Will Magnus, the Atoms, and Adam Strange are just icing on an already deliciou more

Justin Jordan and Dan Didio started with an interesting premise but lost it fast with the politics and pushing the justified hatred narrative that is the drug of the moron masses.

It is sad they had 4 solid issues and the last 4 have just been atrocious garbage.

Maybe one Dan will realize that the Dark Knight is one comic story, there can be others.

I am way on board with Jason returning to his roots. The main question is if this is a new status quo for Red Hood or just temporary since the title is still Red Hood and the Outlaws, crossing out the title makes it seem like a temporary thing.

Everything has gone from bad to worse, for the characters but especially for the narrative which is a mess. Gamora doesn't have a solid motivation for why she is doing any of this. characters stand around and do nothing except quip plot. Characters are dead now for some reason (hello? moondragon is alive, Duggan. even Bendis knew that) Deodato's messy paneling doesn't help the already messy plot. more

Gamora merged the souls of her universe to stave off Devondra, a soul eating entity that's been wreaking havoc across the multiverse. It's the monster inside the soul gem. She does this as a way to get the heroes fighting against her out of the way and to keep Devondra at bay long enough to figure out how to stop it. As for Moondragon, she was dead until Bendis brought her back, which is the only reason he'd know that she was alive. That doesn't make Duggan's continuity flub any better though.

And while it's not a bad change by any means, I wonder if it'll affect other representations of the Bat appearing in other series, whether it's Scott Snyder's Justice League or Tom King's Batman.
