This arc certainly set its sights quite high, as it's the most expansive story arc this series has ever attempted. However, while this arc created enough problems to keep this book's entire expanded cast busy, I did get the very real sense that there was simply too much for this book to resolve that Geoff Johns & David Goyer simply went for the easy out solutions. Now there are some clever moments in this issue (e.g. trapping Mordru inside the Thunderbolt pen), and there's some rather cool bits (e.g. the ever popular Shazam thunderbolt attack), but for the most part I found myself quite disappointed by the quick fix solutions that were brought into play to resolve most of the problems. Now we do see that this victory may have cost a member of the JSA their lives, but based on the death scene, as well as the lack of a body that one can point to as proof of their death, it's quite easy to remain a bit skeptical that this person is really dead.
