In its current format, Looker reads like a TV pilot of a Angel-style investigative mystery series. Coupled with a beautiful Guillem March cover, and equally lush Mike S. Miller interiors, this is one we hope gets picked up for series. Read Full Review
There are portions of Looker #1 that have enormous potential, and if this was the start of a larger story, then I might be able to give it the benefit of the doubt. Looker wasn't quite as thrilling as last month's Eternity, but that's to be expected with this kind of book. Some months will be hits, some months will be misses. There's certainly a market for hot female vampire anti-heroes (Vampirella's series springs to mind instantly) but you need a better and more consistent book than "National Comics: Looker."
