I'm enjoying the book overall. It's good heroic action without a lot of the problems I have with much of the DCNU. Of course, it also didn't need the reboot to make it happen, so maybe those two things are related. Read Full Review
This issue is a step in the right direction after the downward turn Static took in the last. By introducing new villains and expanding on the already interesting ones in Static's roster, the series has become entertaining again and has almost attained that fun quality. The dialogue is jumpy, the artwork choppy, but the story and characters are still a positive sign for our electro-powered superhero. Read Full Review

"Static Shock" is a nice book, although we've had stronger issues prior. As this is Rozum's last issue as co-writer, though, I'll admit to being a little worried about what's ahead. Hopefully the book will stay strong, and I wish that Rozum's departure had been with a slightly better final issue (or not happened at all). For now, though, "Static Shock" is in a wait-and-see holding pattern. Read Full Review
This title has the distinct potential to be a strong, entertaining series: it has a likable star, a few worthy storylines, and some cool concepts. But it's also undermined by forced dialogue, predictable execution, and weak art. I have it in me to stick it out for one issue more, but the prospects of dramatic improvement are very low indeed.
