This was an interesting start to the new Superman after the events of Infinite Crisis. Clark is just discovering that he came from Krypton but for years as Superman has been unaware of this fact.

Metallo is created by a mad scientist who for years has been studying and researching Clark since the day he landed as a baby. Knowing Clark came from space, the scientist was paranoic that more Kryptonians would come. Somehow he got a hold of Kryptonite and uses it as Metallos ultimate source of power in his heart.

Some really good fight scenes here and it shows just how deadly Metallo is to Superman. Metallo was just about to kill Superman only to be thwarted by Lex Luthor. Lex promises that Superman will die by Lex Luthor alone and no one else.

I read this ish the first time through the Man of Steel Hardcover deluxe edition last year. Reread this ish now to write my thoughts on it here. more
