Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield Apr 30, 2025

This issue is more about setting up this team than about the case, and on that front, it does a good job. The whole crew has a good dynamic, and Josiah Power is an interesting new power broker to throw back into the fray of the DCU. Hopefully this one-shot is just a start for this team. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett Apr 30, 2025

The Power Company Recharged feels like it could be something far more delivering a real emotional punch that examines today's real world hate. But, it's goal is to introduce this team and get its members together for whatever is to come in the future. It's a start but what's to come will hopefully really explore the themes and concepts this issue dances around. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Aaron Ray Jr. Apr 30, 2025

In a way, this revival seems like The Power Company in name only. Honestly, this is a good pilot for a Jace Fox/Duke series, but really undersells the rest of the cast, particularly, Vixen and Black Lightning. There's no reason why a Justice Leaguer like Vixen has to justify saving someone by saying “there's more of us.” Additionally, Agent Liberty is cool looking, but his scheme amounts to catfishing and murdering people. Hill portrays the villain as smart enough to predict heroic intervention, but dumb enough to invite it, wait for it, and monologue to them. Lastly, I hope the book avoids pigeonholing Jace as a bootleg Batman, blindly adopting Batman's traits instead of giving him independent behavior. Overall, it is a fun, serviceable start, albeit not without flaws here and there. Read Full Review

Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson May 6, 2025

A little too much focus on Jace Fox's Batman makes this issue a bit less reader-fr9iendly than I'd like in a number one issue. Still, the overall effect is positive enough to bring me back next time. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez May 1, 2025

The Power Company: Recharged #1is a mess of a comic. Bryan Edward Hill's script concocts a clunky murder mystery to bring a group of C-List characters together, and it's as rushed and unsatisfying as you could imagine. Plus, the gaggle of artists pulled together to complete the issue don't complement each other. This comic isn't worth your time, and it certainly isn't worth the bloated cover price. Black Comix Universe Apr 30, 2025

I’ve seen Hill assemble a similar group before in the pages of Batman and the Outsiders (DC Comics 2019).  Another super team that operated on the fringes of the DC universe. That said, knowing that this comic is in good hands, I can sit back and enjoy the ride. (full review @ blackcomixuniverse.com)
