This is ultimately a great story about grief and recovery, as we meet Casey and his father as they're obviously still healing from a fresh loss. Casey's mother is sort of shrouded in mystery through this story, although we learn a lot more about her as it goes on. There are a lot of great details that drive home the impact of this loss without it ever being discussed too directly. Read Full Review
There are times where you must wonder if this is all in Casey's head. That certainly adds to the enjoyment of the story. There's a darker version where he's crazy. In any case, We Found a Monster is a solid way to introduce your kids to the world of monsters. There's not enough all-ages horror out there, so this is a welcome addition. Read Full Review
