Simone has done a great job world-building over her time on "Wonder Woman," and sometimes the forest is lost for the trees, as I must admit happened last issue. This issue deepens the threat that I clamored for last issue, but also makes the previous issue feel more shallow. From here, however, with a new foe to face in combat, the story will surely be propelled to more exciting moments. Read Full Review
It seems Wonder Woman is riding a high note passed on from the last issue. Let's hope the wave continues to the next part. The Wonder Woman series needed this breath of pure air. Things for a while were looking dim, and so close to the historic 600th issue too. The last thing you, me, or Wonder Woman needed was a slow, plotless death leading to the end of the series and going through yet another volume reboot. Read Full Review
Meh. This story is OK, but pretty unspectacular. I just can't get into the whole, "Crazy space-snake-women trying to conquer/destroy the Earth" story. I guess Astarte being WW's aunt is kind of interesting, but that's probably the only real interesting thing about this comic. Read Full Review
If you're a fan of Diana and have been following this book for a while, it's worth picking up just to stay current (and for the aforementioned good moments it contains.) If you aren't, this is absolutely not the issue that's going to convince you to become a regular. Read Full Review
