    The StoryIn 1917 a German U – Boat Captain and his crew washes up on the shore of an uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. As the Captain awakes he reconnects with his crew and learns that there doesn't seem to be a way out from the island. In order to try and keep his soldiers safe. The Captain orders that they take the high ground in order to hopefully get away from whatever it was that shipwrecked them.     KING KONG: THE GREAT WAR #1 begins a new excursion to Skull Island with a new set of outsiders who find themselves shipwrecked during the height of the Great War. The monster designs, especially Kong, look great, and Cox nails the atmosphere of disorientation and desperation. However, this issue feels like more of what we've seen before, so it's up to issue #2 to hook readers. Read Full Review
