    Newsarama - Rob McMonigal Dec 12, 2013

Marc Laming and Jordan Boyd combine to keep this one of the best-looking books from Dynamite, with amazing scenes like making the Phantom's name into a literal interpretation or the splash page of the invading forces, which mix sci-fi and fantasy together along with multiple colors for a great ending image. Weekly Comic Book Review - Hugo Robberts Lariviere Dec 15, 2013

The color work of Jordan Boyd, though, is rather good. While it may not be the most impressive or explosive type of work, Boyd shows a good sense of contrast and a certain amount of diversity with the scenes. Some pages, like those in Africa, aren't particularly impressive in the least, yet those in space and those few opening the issue are rather great, which bright colors that are put against more drab-looking colors, showing the extraordinary in comparison to the ordinary. It's not great as a whole, but it is surely highly competent nonetheless. Upping the antes with plenty of action and some nice revelations, this issue of Kings Watch manage to be a lot of fun while it looks good thanks to Marc Laming and Jordan Boyd. A rather neat game changer altogether. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Ian Stephen Dec 10, 2013

Only two issues left and it will be interesting to see how our heroes handle the grim predicament they seem to be caught in. Kings Watch is shaping up to be a fun ride while showing it's not about who the characters are but how you use them. Dynamite have a plethora of classic pulp heroes at their helm right now but no one is doing anything quite as fun as Kings Watch. Writers take note you can do dark pulps while still throwing a in a bit of lighthearted fun without compromising anything. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke Dec 11, 2013

A strong issue which brings us, finally, to the team up we've been waiting for, but the wait was worth it. The art continues to imbue the darkness this story is conveying and the story progresses satisfyingly. Read Full Review
