Comic Spectrum - Adam Brunell Jun 24, 2016

Red Sonja going into a fight as the She Devil is terrifying and intense. Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm a sucker for barbarian stories with deeper meaning. I've never been into any Red Sonja series in the past; I think I made that comment when I reviewed the first issue. I'm happy to say that Bennett and Aneke's run has brought me a wonderful addiction, I'm glad I chose to keep up with this series and to give it a chance. I can only see good things from this team going forward, because I've only seen good things so far. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Kevin Given Jun 24, 2016

There will be sacrifices made and lives lost for the rebels to gain their freedom. Red Sonja must make a decision unlike any she has ever made as she watches her former lover, the King descend into madness. Sonja promises not to kill Kanara even as Midyan sends a flock of owls to attack her. Sonja finally confronts the King and accuses him of being a traitor. He argues that it was she who left him and Midyan in the past. Sonja tells him that he is a murderer and that she could not stay with someone like him. The final confrontation between Sonja and the King is well worth the read. This is the final chapter of a gut wrenching story as Sonja has to do things to her former lovers that she does not want to do. Red Sonja Vol. 3 #6ends on a peaceful enough note and we see a rare moment melancholy for our protagonist. Read Full Review

This issue was much better, and I will be staying on to see the story continue. Yes, I am pleased with this book now, and no, I don't think I will be giving it up anytime soon. I am now eager to follow up on it. There are a few loose ends to tie up, and I'm sure there are plenty of other challenges to be met. As this story arc ends, I hope that this is just the beginning of the rest of Sonja's adventures. The soul of Hyrkania must triumph, and it will. Read Full Review

    Big Comic Page - Craig Neilson-Adams Jun 23, 2016

As a finished arc, its also far easier to appreciate the journey the characters have undergone, and I can say now that this is undoubtedly a story which is going to read a lot better in a collected volume than in single issues. Its not perfect, and the series has had its ups and downs along the way, but this final chapter delivers a strong denouement which, while not exactly ground-breaking or revolutionary, definitely keeps the pages turning right until the very end. A boldly unconventional take on the She-Devil then, and hopefully the start of a long, enjoyable relationship between Red Sonja and Marguerite Bennett. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Josh Begley Jun 23, 2016

Red Sonja Vol. 3, issue 6 brings a fairly satisfying end to Bennett, Aneke, and Sutil's first story in this new series. While the writing is fine, the art definitely takes a dip in quality. It's not enough to ruin the comic, but it is distracting and sometimes gets in the way of the story. Hopefully, this is just a hiccup and the comic will get back on track with the next issue. Dr. Josh gives this a". Read Full Review
